Paul Schnitzler, PhD, is a faculty member of the engineering management program at the University of South Florida (USF), where he teaches courses in change management, motivation, and creativity. Dr. Schnitzler is also a speaker, author, leader, engineer and consultant. He has successfully introduced changes in a variety of circumstances. As a speaker, he has presented many seminars on change and entrepreneurship in China and Saudi Arabia, and has also presented at TEDx in Tampa Bay , Florida.
As an experienced leader and engineer, Dr. Schnitzler, has made significant contributions in many industries including wire, fiber, satellite and undersea telecommunications, as well as video cameras, ultrasonics, and creativity. His leadership led to the introduction of fiber optics in undersea communications. A team he led created the first broadcast-quality CCD television camera which later won a television Emmy for technical excellence. Both of these required introducing significant changes in the respective organizations.
Among other awards, he was named the 2009 IEEE Region 3 Joseph M. Biedenbach Outstanding Engineering Educator for his work at USF and in the industry. He holds six granted patents and is widely published.
Dr. Schnitzler earned his BSEE, MSEE, and PhD in electrical engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of NYU.
